Dear Creativity, I know it’s not duckling season. But I’ve been thinking a lot about hatching. I’ve got a big announcement coming up this week, and I’ve slowly been making quiet changes behind the scenes — tidying the nest, rearranging things, getting ready for something new to emerge. And as I go through this process, I keep thinking about how intentional this part is. We don’t always give that enough credit, do we? Unlike ducks, we don’t have to wait for a specific season to start incubating. We get to decide when it’s time to partner with you and when we want to say yes to the next idea — even if we’re not 100% sure what’s on the other side. I don’t know exactly what will unfold as I transition the Creativity Social Club into a space for ongoing incubation and play. But I do know this feels like the season to make it happen. So, thank you, Creativity, for walking with me, even before anything hatches. Even while it’s still quiet. This has me wondering: Innovatively yours, |

When it comes to priorities and task management, I want the structure, and I don’t want the structure. I crave a system… until it boxes me in. That’s when I...
Dear Creativity, It almost feels like you’ve been in two places at once. Here with me in my home office/creative studio, tuning into Speak & Write on my screen… and in San Diego, where Lisa Nichols and her team of speakers have been dropping golden nuggets of wisdom for the past two days. Last year, I was fortunate enough to attend in person. The energy, the buzz in the hallways, the inspiration spilling out around every corner — it was electrifying. This year, hunkered down at my desk, I...
